This is a timelapse showing how the Vanduul was brought into the Bulkheads Short.

This is a timelapse showing how the majority of the short was created using CryEngine and Maya!

The opening title crawl "Bulkheads" fades in one section at a time as we pan across the hull of the ship, in homage to Alien.

Power is offline. All that can be heard is the breath of the panicked engineer and the skitter of the creature. The vents lit up only by the headtorch. This particular shot is in the first person.

Maintenance | Bulkheads Short

Set in the Star Citizen universe. This short was created in CryEngine over the course of two days for halloween. Maintenance follows an engineer on board the Imperitium, an old Bengal Carrier in service to the UEE Navy. During a repair of one of the ventilation systems a malfunction occurs and a Vanduul is let loose and hunts down the engineer. This was a fun project and it provided the opportunity to experiment with working on cinematography in a tight set. The sequence also featured the debut of my facial motion capture system which utilises Face-shift and Maya to transfer face animation data to the character rig.
