P52 Merlin Commercial : The 4 Stages. This version of the commercial shows the intial concept from P4nda followed by my storyboards, an initial previs draft of the shots and the final output.
"Launch" - Production Timelapse showing a constellation converted in Maya for use in Element 3D and the full production of the shot.
"Engine Explosion" - Production Timelapse showing the extraction and animation of the engine assets.
The Next Great Ship Commercial - Interview about the production. This is a short documentary created for the competition which goes into great detail about the design process of the commercial. The documentary was created by Sean Sullivan.
P52 Merlin Commercial - Teaser
The P52 Merlin Commercial was created using the plugin Element 3D for After Effects. it was created for a fan run competition called "The Next great Ship Commercial" in which four contestants competed with the Merlin commercial being the victor. It was written by the content creator P4nda and voiced by Radlock. My role in the project was to create and render the visual elements under the direction of the story P4nda was writing. Maya was used to convert the assets to be usable in Element 3D.
